Auckland, 11 Oct. – A Climate action stunt is happening today at 2pm on Queen Street in the lead-up to Power Shift. Power Shift is NZ biggest ever youth climate summit that will see 1000 young people gathered a Auckland University to take action on climate change. Based on…….. the international Power Shift movement, there will be presentations, workshops, concerts and a massive flash mob over 3 days, launching a 2013 climate campaign. New Zealand youth are responding to the need for urgent action on climate change in a positive and solutions-based manner, to empower youth to secure their generation a safe climate future.
This Thursday at 2pm High School students, Uni students and young professionals will descend on Queen St to symbolise uniting young people in tackling solutions to cimate change. This is marking a new stage in New Zealand climate change activism that will empower young people to make a difference for our futures.
