https://www.facebook.com/Counties.Manukau.Police/
The message is aimed at Dairies and Liquor stores and encourage the store owners to:
· To call 111 when offender is present in the store
· To speak calmly and clearly over the phone so that the call-taker can clearly understand……. the person calling
· If Offender leaves the store, to remain on the phone and provide ofenders description, direction of travel, car reg etc to the call taker
· If the owners open their store in the morning and found it has been burglarised and no offender is present then they should call local Area Police on 09-2611300 and make a report over the phone through Crime Reporting Line. That they will be given a reference number once the report is made
· That if retailers do not report then Police would not know if a crime has occurred or not
· Ensure there are good quality CCTV cameras, good lighting, clear visibility , no graffiti in the store.
· Not to keep things like Hockey stick or Iron rod in the store as they can inflict serious injuries and they can be seriously hurt if the items get into the hands of the offender.
· If there are any concerns, then they can contact me on my cell phone 021-191-0461
